The Coalinga Police Department was founded in 1927. We are located in the Pleasant Valley in Western Fresno County. The City of Coalinga is located approximately 12 miles southwest of Interstate 5 almost exactly between the cities of Los Angeles and San Francisco. The Coalinga Police Department has a total of 16 sworn officers. The department is divided into two divisions: Patrol and Support Services both divisions are overseen by the departments Commander. The Coalinga Police Department has its own full-time 24 hours a day dispatch center, Animal Control Officer, and a Property & Evidence Technician.
