Chief Michael Salvador is a product of the west side, born and raised in Kerman CA. Michael is a product of local schools and is a graduate of Fresno State. Chief Salvador started his law enforcement career 27 years ago working for the Kerman Police Department. After 5 years, he left his home town and spent 4 years working in the City of Chowchilla as a Sergeant. In 1997, Chief Salvador left Chowchilla and spent the last 18 years employed by the Madera County Sheriff’s Office rising through the ranks to the position of Undersheriff, the Assistant Department Head.
Chief Salvador is married to his wife Wendi. They have 3 children: Montana, Petty Officer in the U.S. Navy, Jadyn, and Ryle.
